LRT 102: Clinical Application

Two days of instruction in the clinical application of lipid replacement therapy and plasmalogen replacement therapy. Sessions cover membrane lipid biochemistry, specialized laboratory testing and interpretation, protocol construction from individual patient results, substrate selection, and the administration of LRT IV therapy infusion.

Content:

• Synthesis and metabolism of fatty acids, phospholipids, and plasmalogens
• Cholesterol, lipid rafts, and lipid droplets, including pre-conception considerations
• Bioactive free fatty acids; adrenic, vaccenic, and nervonic acids
• Butyrate and sodium phenylbutyrate: comparative clinical use
• Specialized laboratory panels — selection of tests and interpretation of results
• Construction of individualized protocols from laboratory findings
• Substrate selection: indication, dosing, and sequencing
• LRT IV therapy infusion — preparation, dosing, administration technique, post-infusion considerations, institutional policy and compliance requirements, with supervised hands-on training
• Case analysis: autism, Lyme disease and cholesterol efflux, and other complex chronic presentations
• Advanced Special Topics: lipid droplets, ferroptosis, and cardiolipin synthesis. Topics are revised for each offering; practitioners who have completed the course previously may attend for these sessions.

Participants receive research literature, patient education materials, dosing references, and troubleshooting guidance. The course concludes with a written examination. The DNAcademy Certificate in Lipid Replacement Therapy is awarded on successful completion.

LRT 102 only, for practitioners who have already completed LRT 101. Completion is verified at enrollment.
