About the Academy

About

A nonprofit advancing cellular health through education, research, and clinical practice — led by a physician who has spent his career at the cell membrane.

Our mission

The Doniparthi Neurogen Academy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit building a connected community of practitioners who treat chronic illness at its cellular root. We work where education, research, and clinical care meet — training clinicians, advancing the science of lipids and plasmalogens, and translating it into individualized patient care.

Our purpose is simple: to address the ever-increasing burden of cellular toxicity, and to help the body do what it was built to do — heal from the cell outward.

Krishna Doniparthi, MD

Krishna Doniparthi, MD is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Board of Obesity Medicine, holds fellowships from the American Academy of Anti-Aging & Regenerative Medicine (A4M) and the Medical Academy of Pediatric & Special Needs (FMAPS), and is an IFM Certified Practitioner (IFMCP). He has practiced medicine since 2002. In 2011 he founded Functional Medicine Georgia in Alpharetta, an outpatient practice devoted to uncovering and treating the root causes of complex, chronic illness in both children and adults. His clinical work centers on cellular medicine — the fatty acids, phospholipids, and plasmalogens that determine how well cells function, repair, and detoxify — an area most conventional and functional practitioners overlook.

Rather than managing symptoms, Dr. Doniparthi works to identify the cellular dysfunction beneath a patient's condition. Using targeted testing, he assesses each patient's lipid and plasmalogen status and individualizes therapy to their results. His patients include those with neurodegenerative disease, long COVID, mold and fungal illness, autism, and mitochondrial dysfunction — many of whom arrive after conventional care has run its course.

Dr. Doniparthi's work spans three organizations. He is Founder and Medical Director of Functional Medicine Georgia, the Alpharetta practice he founded in 2011. He is Owner and Formulation Director of Precision Nutrients, a company developing fatty acid and phospholipid formulations. And he is Founder and Chairperson of the Board of the Doniparthi Neurogen Academy, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit he established in 2022 to train clinicians nationwide in lipid replacement therapy and cellular medicine — to address the ever-increasing burden of cellular toxicity.

A Fellow and faculty member of the Medical Academy of Pediatric & Special Needs (MAPS), Dr. Doniparthi also serves on the Scientific Advisory Board for NAD+ Research. He is a Fellow of the Obesity Medicine Association (FOMA), serves as its CME Vice-Chair, and has sat on its Board of Trustees since 2016 — experience in accredited medical education that directly informs the Academy's curriculum. Earlier in his career he contributed to oncology research on vascular endothelial growth factor monoclonal antibody in thyroid carcinoma models, published in Thyroid (2002) and Annals of Clinical & Laboratory Science (2003). He lectures nationally and internationally on cellular medicine, driven by a vision of a connected community of practitioners restoring health at the cellular level.

Disclosure

Dr. Doniparthi is Owner and Formulation Director of Precision Nutrients, a company that develops fatty acid and phospholipid formulations, and Founder and Medical Director of Functional Medicine Georgia, a private practice. He is also Founder and Chairperson of the Board of Doniparthi Neurogen Academy. The Academy is a separate 501(c)(3) nonprofit and receives no revenue from product sales.

Academy coursework teaches the clinical use of membrane lipids as a category. Materials may reference Precision Nutrients as an option for lipid replacement therapy. It is presented as one available option rather than a requirement; materials identify the substrate class and specifications so practitioners can evaluate and source from any manufacturer they choose.

This disclosure will be expanded as the Academy's governance and conflict-of-interest policy are formalized.
